Damsels and Dragonflies
Ruxleys damsel and dragonfly population serve as both a key
indicator of the favorable state of the reserve and serve as prey for
birds and mammals which feed on insects. Typical predators include: garden warbler, blackcap, whitethroat, willow warbler and chiffchaff,
and the more familiar robin and wren which live at Ruxley year round.
